Customers choose Denholm Global Logistics because they know they can trust us to manage the movement and customs clearance of their goods as efficiently as possible. This confidence that our customers have in our skills and experience was recently demonstrated at our Felixstowe branch.
Prior to Brexit, we managed non-EU, or third country, imports for a long-standing customer in the buildings trade, and freight volumes were regular and steady. When Brexit was approaching, our customer looked at ways to minimise the risks associated with the new EU customs clearance and so they asked us to help. Today, the volume of freight from the EU we clear through customs on behalf of this particular customer is now eight times the volume from third countries we cleared through customs for them prior to Brexit.
Felixstowe Branch Manager, Chris Rolfe, commented, “Now that over a year has passed since the start of Brexit and almost two months since the stricter EU customs declarations that were introduced on 1st January 2022, I have been reflecting on how the services we provide to our customers have evolved in that time. The team here at Felixstowe has a keen eye for detail, they are diligent and they have a real depth of experience in managing a wide variety of cargoes. When combined, these skills have formed the solid basis for the reliable service we provide to our customers exporting and importing goods to and from the EU.”
Thanks to the skills and depth of experience of our teams, customers of Denholm Global Logistics’ branches around the UK and Ireland consistently rely on us for efficient freight forwarding and customs clearance.
